about

E for Echo formed in 2016 in the inner-city cultural hub of Redfern, Sydney. They make dream-pop soundscapes lead by gritty guitars, 90’s synths and lush layered vocal hooks.

Their current release, ‘Static and TV’ was entirely funded by world class Studios 301 and Young Henrys; it was recorded, mixed and mastered in just 12 hours.

Following the release of last year’s second EP ‘How To Win’, ‘Satisfied’ was released in April 2020, which was spun on triple j, premiered on FBi radio, and received commercial and community airplay across the US, the UK, Ireland, Canada and Germany. The music video was made Rolling Stone Video of the Week after a global exclusive with Music Feeds.

The band supported iconic indie act the Jezabels, were premiered multiple times on FBi radio and Music Feeds, were added to rotation on 2SER radio and have had their music videos screened twice at CLIPPED.TV’s premiere nights.

Over the past 4 years, the group have gained a wide audience and stellar reputation for their dynamic and engaging live shows. They have played with the Jezabels, Ngaiire, A.D.K.O.B, Letters To Lions, Death By Denim, Egoism and Andy Clockwise (US).

Their debut EP Dreamers was produced by Ross James (Chet Faker, Vera Blue) and mastered by Joe Laporta (David Bowie) while their last release was entirely self-produced at Golden Retriever Studios (How To Dress Well, The Internet) and was mastered by Nick Franklin (CLEWS).

Their debut album ‘Fresh Outta College’ is due for release in 2020.
